The Large Diameter Anchor bodies are made of Class 10.9 Carbon Steel and are Mechanical Zinc Plated; This high performance anchor is designed for use in Concrete.
The anchor is designed to allow the head to sit on top of the surface of the item being attached; The anchor requires a hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete), and the hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor; The 1/2" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fixture to be 3/8"; The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit and used in a hammer drill.
The anchor is a single design with no nuts and washers assembled, and has more threads for better thread engagement and higher pull-out resistance.
Each anchor must be spaced a minimum distance of 8 inches from each other when measured center to center; It is very important to install anchors more than 5 inches away from unsupported concrete edges; The diameter of the anchor is 1/2"; The length of the anchor is 4"; The anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 3" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete; The maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 1" which ensure that the minimum embedment of 3" will be met.
